Terms of Service

These terms apply to anyone who joins a hike, books a retreat, or otherwise uses services offered by LA Activity Club ("LAC"), operated by Next Generation Wellness LLC. By joining a hike or booking a retreat, you agree to these terms.

What we offer

LAC organizes free, informal weekly group hikes in and around the Los Angeles area, and paid multi-day active retreats that include lodging, guided activities, and related services as described on each retreat's page.

Booking and payment

• Full payment is due at the time of booking a retreat; there is no deposit option.
• Bookings close, and payments are no longer accepted, within 3 days of a retreat's departure date.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

Refund policy

• 100% refund if you cancel 20+ days before departure.
• 50% refund if you cancel 10–19 days before departure.
• No refund if you cancel less than 10 days before departure.

If LA Activity Club cancels a retreat for a reason within our control, guests will receive a 100% refund of all amounts paid for that retreat, regardless of the refund schedule above. This guarantee does not extend to cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control (including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events); in those cases we will work with guests in good faith on rescheduling or a partial refund where possible.

Assumption of risk

Hiking and outdoor group activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to injury from terrain, weather, physical exertion, wildlife, and travel to and from locations. By participating in a hike or retreat, you voluntarily assume these risks. You are responsible for assessing your own fitness and ability to safely participate, and for following the guidance of trip leaders on-site.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LAC and Next Generation Wellness LLC are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in a hike or retreat, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Conduct

We expect everyone joining a hike or retreat to treat other participants, guides, and property with respect. We reserve the right to remove anyone from a hike or retreat, without refund, whose conduct we reasonably believe endangers others or damages property.

Changes

We may update these terms, retreat itineraries, or pricing from time to time. The version posted here at the time of your booking applies to that booking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
